Back in the 1980's my art teacher in High School had us watch this...(it was the last two days before Christmas break) - Nobody laughed in the classroom. When William shatter walked though the door 0:13 - My art teacher said "This is the only funny scene in the whole movie."

I remember when Shatner walked through that door--where you assumed he was communicating via a viewscreen--I just fell apart laughing my ass off. So unexpected and so hilarious. Shatner was great here--and the reason why I actually like Airplane II.

Without Shatner, Airplane II would have been a pretty forgettable comedy. He stole the show despite appearing in only the final 30 minutes of the movie.
